One data setup for the men's and women's teams

In March 2023 BK Häcken, then reigning Allsvenskan champions with a women's team that had just finished second in Damallsvenskan, signed with us to strengthen the data work on both sides of the club.

Häcken did not come to us short of quality. The men had just won their first Swedish title and the women were a few points from theirs. What the club wanted was a data operation that kept up with that level, and one that worked the same way for both squads.

The agreement covers the 2023 season and gives both coaching staffs the same tools. Scouting across the leagues we cover, analysis of their own matches and of upcoming opponents, and feedback on individual player development. Running the men's and women's teams on one platform means the same definitions, the same KPIs and the same reports, which makes it far easier for the sporting department to compare and prioritise.

For us it was a good test. A club at the top of both leagues is demanding in the right way.

We are in an exciting time as a club, and it is important not to ease off but to continue the development we have had in recent years.
Martin Ericsson Sporting director, BK Häcken
